Mid-War and Late War Periods
There will be two divisions in this year's tournament: mid-war and late war. At the beginning of the tournament, you must decide which division you will play in. You will play in that division for the entire tournament. Winners will be determined for each division.

Tournament Structure
Within a division, each player is required to play three games. When two players are assigned to a game, they will will be given a result form. The players will play the game, fill out the results form, and turn it back in to the referee, where the result will be recorded. Historical match-ups (axis vs allies) are much preferred and players are allowed to have both an allied and an axis army to encourage this. There is a three hour time limit for each game.

Tournament Scenarios
To be Determined.

Tournament Scoring
The standard scoring system for winning or losing a game outlined on the FOW website will be used with a few modifications. Generalship, historical background, and painting ratings will not be used as part of the tournament scoring proper. In addition to the points system outlined in the scenario, a player that wins by taking an objective is awarded an additional 2 points for the win. If a defender wins by pushing the attacker from the defenders side of the board, an additional 3 points are awarded for scenarios where this is a victory condition for the defending player. Note that objective wins are determined as the very first phase in a player turn, If an enemy force is broken on the turn that an objective victory condition is met it is scored as normal win and not a objective win since the game ends on the turn the enemy force breaks. If two players do not complete a game in the allotted time, points will be awarded per the instructions in the FOW rulebook. The winners of each division of the tournament will be determined by adding the total score from all 3 games to a players total score. In the event of a tie, the scores of the opponents the player gamed with will be added up and the player whose opponents scored the highest will be the winner. If this score does not break the tie, the player with the most victories by meeting the objective victory condition will win. If the score is still a tie, a tie will be declared and players will roll-off for any applicable prizes.

Force Structures
No army can exceed 1500 points but may be less that 1500. As per the BattleFront Forum, an army must be built from a single book. All the published books are allowed for this purpose.

Rules
Rules from Flames of War, 2nd edition, Ostfront, Afrika, Festung Europa, D-Day, D minus 1, Bloody Omaha, Villers Bocage, and Monty's Meatgrinder plus the OFFICIAL lists from the Flames of War website are the governing rules.

Army Lists
Two Lists In Advance
Players who submit their army lists by March 31 may have two army lists for each army type for each period. Within a period, lists for an army must be for the same type from the same source. In other words, you may submit two different lists for Grenadiers from the Ostfront book with differing core, support and divisional assets. But you may not submit one Grenadier list from the Afrika and one from Ostfront. In the case of British Empire troops, both lists must be from the same nationality, e.g. both Australian.

Players may send their lists either as Army Builder files, Excel spreadsheets, Word files, text or rtf files to info@greathallgames.com. When sending an Army Builder file please zip the file before attaching since AB files are scripted and not compiled so an unzipped attachment gets stripped and placed in the text of the message.

One List at the Door
Because of the time required to verify an army list, you are only allowed to submit a single list after March 31, or at the door.
